Gentle Color Textures
I had the pleasure of enjoying a photo walk with a good photog friend of mine today. We have been talking about making it happen for some time now and finally got our chance today. I would write a comparison of our styles, or what Ive learned from the experience with her, but she is rather secretive with her photography, in fact I have never seen any of her work haha. Regardless, we had a fun time out shooting, and surprisingly the city was a pretty happenin place for a tuesday night.
As we made our way through the streets and alleyways I found myself more drawn to texture tonight then anything else. I love the muted pastel tones that were poping up from the soft overcast sky.
All in all a very enjoyable evening, and even got to enjoy dinner at the Cinco De Mayo restaurant I’ve been meaning to go to all year. As I’ve mentioned in the past its always fun shooting with friends, especially when those friends know their way around the camera 🙂
I love the echo of colors in each photo, and yet, completely different subject matter. Nice!
Thank you Carissa 🙂 I too enjoyed the consistency in color palette
I agree about shooting with friends is fun… but when they are secretive doesn’t it really take the fun out of it? the idea is to bounce ideas of each other, isn’t it?! 🙂
Echoing off that, isn’t one of whole points of photography to SHARE what you have captured, even if you have to watermark it?
However, to Nick, good shots, as always. Been wanting to go on a photo-walk sometime, hard to find local guys in my area.
Hey Matt, she does share her work, its just with clients haha. Thanks for the kind words, and keep looking for photogs in your area you’ll find them. If your looking to travel at all I may put on a Nick Exposed photowalk in a big city at some point this year… if not this year then definitely next year 🙂
If Lexington, KY counts as a big city, I’m all in. 🙂
Haha, well I was thinking of hosting a photowalk around Chicago or something and inviting everyone to travel out and join 🙂
Raincheck for possible years from now then Nick. Not to the point I can travel whenever, unfortunately.
You’ll get there, and you wont want to miss out on the awesome photowalks, Im kind of a crazy cool person to hang out with… so Im told lol. Keep up the good work man!
Hey Bashar, she’s still a lot of fun to shoot with. She has her reasons for not showing her work, we still bounce ideas off of one another 🙂
I absolutely love the idea of a photo walk with a friend!
Its so much fun Meredith 🙂
Love these shots! The first one kind of made me giggle because I felt like someone was watching me through a periscope! LOL
Haha thats hilarious Cindy! I can totally see that now 🙂 Thanks
Great textural pics :::)
Thanks Atkinson 🙂 I love the alien smiley face too, six eyes… awesome
thanks!
What kind of photographer can she possibly be? Photographers show their work. End of story.
Haha hey Ray 🙂 Im confident she is a fantastic photographer. She just keeps her photos client exclusive so it makes sense.
How does she get work? Hahahahahahaha. We all gotta market ourselves. 🙂
Haha, That Im not sure, but I do know she does share her work with her clients.
Love the colors, and I understand why you were drawn to the textures. Great photos. 🙂
Hey thanks Inga 🙂
Great collection Nick, love the colours. Andy
Thanks Andy! 🙂
