Off Season

ISO 100 55mm f/4 1/60

With the recent snowfall I decided to make another trip to the local park to see how the scenery has changed with the addition of the fluffy white highlights. Most of the scenery was not to my liking as it was a rather gray day out, which wasn’t to flattering to the park. However I did like this scene with the lonely unused bench as the court is in hibernation for the off season. Its only company being the dusting of snow that surrounds.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a professional basketball player so bad, and would still practice into the winter, slipping and sliding all over the driveway as I tried to pull off my best MJ impressions (Michael Jordan not Michael Jackson, however doing the moon walk while playing basketball would be quite interesting). I remember enjoying the winter version of the game as the snow would stop the ball keeping me from having to chase it down the street when I had a horrible air ball… uh which of course didn’t happen often because I was awesome.. yea awesome… But anyway my dreams of Basketball stardom were shattered when I realized I really had no talent for it what so ever haha. So I focused on the endeavors I did have talent in.. like basket weaving.. its actually very similar to Basketball, being its name starts with Basket. Im kidding! (not about the name thing because thats obviously true) Although I did have to weave a basket in art class once, but trust me there was still no talent to be had for that either haha. Ever since my passion and talent has resided in Cars, Art and making a difference in the world. But I can still relate with this wintery scene, and it brings back some good memories!
