Today was an EXTREMELY EXCITING day for me as I received my long awaited Canon 7D in the mail!! Perfect timing with the “Blues on the Mall” celebration downtown and this month Collab project coming to a close this weekend!
One thing I absolutely love about downtown Grand Rapids, is the street performers that scatter the streets and alley ways as you make your way around the corridors of brick paved roads. Everything from break dancing competitions, classic sax players, to the everyday musician out in search for a buck or a lovely lady to woo.
This guy definitely fits into the later of the bunch, out trying to show his charm with a rose in mouth, as he serenades the beautiful women who pass by… in hopes a connection may be made.
Either that or the act may just bring in extra cash hahaha. Either way I love the live performances around every street corner!
Hiya Nick! Nice new platform, and I like this guitarist! I don’t need to hear him to be enthralled. Congrats on the new camera.
Thank you Debbie
Correction on my web address. So, maybe accept my congratulations without typos! I love the pic of the guitarist. I don’t have to hear him in order to be enthralled. Best -
Wonderful photo. 7D rocks! I have been using it since one year.
Yes 7D does rock!!
Thanks Sonali!
Yes, congratulations! Great photograph.
Thank you Richard! I love the cam so far, and plan on working it to death haha
Look forward to more fantastic photos with your new camera
Me too Alastair!!
Oooh, new camera – always exciting!
And love the photograph too! The rose would certainly work if he was over here! haha
Haha, I figured the ladies would really dig the rose. Thanks Becky
Ooooh, I wouldn’t mind him serenading me. What a cutie!!! Oops, did I type that out loud? LMAO. Great shot Nick
Hahaha too funny Cindy!
Well, you know, I may be getting older, but I’m certainly not dead yet!!
Hahaha
Beautiful photo! Congrats on the new camera, too… I’ve been hemming and hawing over the 7D for awhile, now.
Perhaps this is a sign…?
Hey Christina! Even with only having it for a day so far, I can tell its going to be a Kick Ass cam!! It works so nicely, and feels like a tank, which works out great for me because I like to put my stuff through the wringer and work it to death!
Well, I made the leap; took advantage of Amazon’s fine financing, after much reviewing and reading of photogs like yourself. I also need a tank, as you put it — I drag that baby through craziness. It’s the first thing that encounters the terrain on Everglades non-trail/overgrown-trail escapades. CAN’T WAIT!
Yea with how much I put my cam through it helps to have one that I can be confident that it will take the beating. Cant wait to hear how you like it
Hi ya Nick. A nice surprise to see you show up in my WP feed. I’ve been missing you since you moved to FB and it’s way too hard to find you. Great photo, as always. Lucky you to have the new Canon!!
Hey Shez!! I dont know why wordpress is so stingy with putting my recent posts in the news feed! More stuff for me to figure out with the new site platform haha. And yes I am loving my new Canon!! Its going to get worked to death, thats for sure
Thanks
