I decided today would be a good day to take a brake from all the constant working, and took my Sister and Niece to the Zoo. Its still spring hours so we didn’t get a whole lot of time to make it through, and ended up skipping one of the larger exhibits as we had already managed to squeak by the zoo staff and got an extra 30 min in after close. he he
Despite all the cool exotic animals scattered throughout, my camera was mostly focused on my niece, capturing her reactions (mostly of boredom hahaha) as we made our way through the park. She seemed to be more amused by the fellow toddlers who would come running by as their parent chased them from cage to cage.
I did manage to grab a few shots of the various critters as we ventured through the menagerie. Most of which were too blurry, being the animals are more jittery then Charlie Sheen on a Saturday night. The zoo attendants informed us that a majority of their wildlife stock had just arrived this last week and were still getting acquainted with there summer residence. None the less I did manage a few nice shots, and now that Ive been slowly editing away at them over the last couple hours I figured it was time to choose one so that I may finally get some sleep haha.
I had shot this chimp for a few minutes with little interest to go off of, and just before I decided to continue on down the path to catch up with my niece and sis, he decided to give me one for the road. The lead of the pulled rope worked in perfect with all the other leading lines, and although at first I was disappointed I couldn’t catch more of his face, now that I look at it I think it adds a bit of extra emotion the way it turned out.
I look forward to heading back when we have a bit more time to be able to fully explore the animal kingdom.

Houston, we have a problem! Where’s your “like” button?
Yes!
For the blog post itself? Hmmm Ill have to look into that. Thanks for pointing that out Cindy
Just realized that because Im now a wordpress.org account I dont have the ability to get a like button for the post itself :/ Oh well you can always show your enjoyment by clickin the facebook like button
Let’s consider comments here as likes.
Which, by the way, is a good photo. As always.
I like it when people like with facebook as well
Thanks Matt

Hey Nick, just wanted to drop a quick comment saying congrats on the new website… Really awesome work.
Pardon me but I’m swamped at work, promise I will come back over the weekend and really put it to the test… the layout appears very user friendly and easy to navigate

Love the triangles in this photo. Very pleasing to the eye.
On another note, so, I”m going to have to enter my info every time I want to comment? (Sigh)
Oh really? I apologize. I will look into a easier way to comment, It must not link up to wordpress.com accounts?
