Nick Mayo is an analog photographer and graphic artist based in Grand Rapids, MI. His primary photography interest is in portraiture and street photography, where he enjoys the art of waiting for a story to unfold before him. Drawn to light, shape and form, his photographs tend to take on a strikingly simple composition, resembling that of his graphic design roots. Nick prefers to work with traditional film, shooting both 35mm & medium format. He says, “I have grown to respect both craft & process, and in that way I feel analog photography is a brilliant extension of my artistic vision.”
Nick has won several awards for both his photography and design. His work will be published in this fall’s release of “NSEW”, a book by the Film Shooters Collective showcasing work from analog photographers across the globe.
Nick Exposed is intended to be a sort of catch all for personal work and projects. Wrangling up thoughts, expressions and adventures.
Nick and his wife Emily have an absolute passion for marriages, and are honored to work side by side as a husband & wife fine art wedding photography team. You can see their wedding work and read articles on both weddings and marriage over here www.nickandemily.photography
